Relax. Recharge. Regina

An outdoor enthusiast’s paradise, Regina always has something to help you unplug and unwind. Your only challenge will be deciding what to do first.

Canada’s sunniest capital

Reginans know how to bask in the sun – after all, their city enjoys more rays than any other Canadian capital, averaging 2,365 hours per year. Known for its clear, sunny days, Regina sees more summertime sunshine than 92 of our nation’s 100 largest cities, including Calgary, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and anywhere in BC. With seemingly infinite light, you’ll find the sun shines bright above Regina’s horizon.

Our nation’s greatest urban playground

In the heart of Regina, you’ll discover one of North America’s largest urban parks – Wascana Centre. Everything from the eight kilometer paved multi-use trail running along Wascana Creek to its nearly 300-acre lake is entirely man-made. Cyclists, joggers and cross-country skiers are among the many outdoor recreation enthusiasts who take full advantage of Regina’s enviable sunshine and ample open space. Meanwhile, golfers enjoy a selection of national calibre, highly affordable links – including a course that boasts one of Canada’s top three signature holes.  Learn more.

A lake for every day of the week

In less time than it takes a Torontonian commuter to get to work, a Reginan can hop in a car, unpack, open a book, dip their feet in Regina Beach and start working on a tan. It’s true. Reginans can actually find seven freshwater lakes within an hour’s drive of the city. Compare that to our neighbours to the West, where only a select few Calgarians can afford seasonal properties and Saskatchewan’s little-known riches begin to shine through.  Learn more.
